라익디스라는 이름은 “이렇게 하면 된다”는 말에서 시작했습니다. 더 잘하려 애쓰지 않아도, 생활이 불필요하게 복잡해지지 않도록 기준을 단순하게 정리하는 것. 라익디스는 집에 대해 필요 이상의 설명을 하지 않으려고 노력합니다.

The name likethix comes from a simple phrase: “This is how it works.” Not trying harder. Not overdoing things. But setting clear standards so everyday life doesn’t become unnecessarily difficult. We try not to add more explanation to home than it really needs.

Empty & Focus,

Shared Perspective 

라익디스가 만드는 편안함은 마음을 들여다볼 수 있도록, 집에서 신경 써야 할 것들이 줄어든 상태에서 시작됩니다. 우리는 불필요한 요소를 덜어내는 Empty, 집중을 방해하는 것을 최소화하는 Focus를 하나의 환경으로 구현하고자 합니다.

이 기준은 협업에서도 동일합니다. 라익디스는 고유한 시선을 가진 디자이너와 아티스트와 함께 각자의 언어로, 무엇을 덜어낼 수 있는지, 어떤 지점을 남길 것인지를 먼저 이야기합니다. 

두 개의 시선이 겹쳐질 때, 더 복잡해지는 대신 더 또렷해지는 것이 라익디스가 노력하는 협업의 결과입니다. 그리고 그렇게 아름다움과 기능이 동시에 남는 오브젝트로 이어집니다.

The comfort likethix creates begins when there are fewer things at home demanding your attention. A state where you can look inward, because your surroundings are no longer asking so much of you. We shape this environment through Empty, removing unnecessary elements, and Focus, minimizing what interrupts concentration, bringing both together into one cohesive space.

This principle applies to our collaborations as well. Likethix works with designers and artists who have distinct perspectives. Rather than adding more layers, we first talk about what can be removed and what truly needs to remain.

When two perspectives meet, the result is not more complexity, but greater clarity. That is the kind of collaboration likethix pursues, leading to objects where beauty and function remain together.

라익디스가 말하는 품질은 감각이 아니라 결과라고 생각합니다. 서고, 앉고, 덮었을 때 사용자가 굳이 고민하지 않아도 되는 것. 포장, 물류, CS까지 생활에 걸리는 순간을 줄이는 것. 집이 어렵지 않으면 생활도 복잡해지지 않는다고 믿습니다. 

We believe quality is not a feeling, but a result. When you stand on it. When you sit on it. When you use it in daily life. If the user doesn’t have to stop and think, that is quality to us. From packaging and logistics to customer service, we work to reduce the moments that get in the way of living. When home isn’t difficult, life doesn’t become complicated either.
